    What a nightmare
This player was a freebee with a television we purchased about 18 months ago. I’m being generous in giving it 1 star. It deserves -10.

Avoid this dvd player unless it is free!
I have owned this Sharp blu-ray player for over a year. I have done the firmware updates, which were a real pain! I would not recommend this player to anyone.

    Stay away
Pros: The picture quality is great, as with any Blu-Ray player.
    Cons: Where do I start?
    1. It takes FOREVER to load a movie. 3 minutes maybe?

    Absolute Junk!!!
This product is a piece of garbage and I’m giving it a very charitable 1 star. It loads very, very, very slowly. Even regular dvd’s are ridiculously slow.

Player had horrible start-up time and thus went unused. Tried to use it recently and it simply doesn’t work. Called Sharp…wants to charge for repairs!!

I’m not the type of person to post negative comments however; for the money this player is a piece of crap… I bought it in early 2008 on Amazon (no issue with Amazon!
